19 Apr First Harvest at New Dawn Farm
A busy few weeks!
Greetings from New Dawn Farm!
We’ve been planting like crazy this week and last and have managed to FILL two of our greenhouses. This year, we are striving to make sure we plant intensively on our small-scale farm so we can provide all of you with a continuous supply of fresh, local veggies all season long. Things are going great so far and we hope you consider participating in our CSA this year.

First harvest of the season!
Yesterday, we harvested our first greens of the season! Our greens mix got a little too big for its britches so we picked it for you all just in time for the holiday weekend. This greens mix consists of red mustard, green mustard, Chinese cabbage, pac choi, and tatsoi. We also picked the following microgreens: red arrow radish, mild micro mix (contains
mizuna, cabbage, kale, and kohlrabi), and mustard barbarossa.
Come to the farmstand!
Stop by the farmstand today or feel free to reach out to us if you would like to purchase any of these fresh greens! Farmer Brenna also took a bit of the harvest home with her to Peterborough so if any Peterborough-area residents would like some, let us know!
Look out for more greens next week! Always check out our Facebook and Instagram to see when new produce becomes available!
Monadnock Farm Share Program
There is still time to participate in the first year of the Monadnock Farm Share Program! This program aims to make fresh, local food accessible to allcommunity members. We have accepted two applicants already but we encourage anyone to apply who feels they might be eligible to participate.
The customer is only responsible for half the cost of a CSA share
Participating CSAs cover 25% of the program costs and 25% of costs is provided by the Cheshire Medical Center for Population Health through it’s Healthy Monadnock Initiative.
